From the Boise River to the foothills

Eagle stretches from the Boise River north into the foothills, and its properties cover a wide range: riverside neighborhoods with mature cottonwoods, newer estates on larger lots, and hillside homes with long views across the valley. Hillside lots and views

Foothill properties in north Eagle often have the best views in the valley and the hardest ground to build on. Retaining walls and terraced patios create level space, and we orient seating, fire features and lighting toward the view instead of the fence. Exposed hillsides also get more wind, so placement and planting have to account for it.

Lower ground near the river

Closer to the river, soils tend to be sandier and more gravelly, and some spots stay wetter in spring. Good drainage under patios and behind walls matters even more here, and plant choices shift toward species that tolerate both wet springs and dry summers.

Outdoor living at a larger scale

Many Eagle homes have the room for complete outdoor living spaces: an outdoor kitchen, a dining area, a fire feature, water and lighting designed together as one plan. At that scale, the details that hold it together matter most: matching stone across walls and patios, consistent lighting, and planting that softens all of the hardscape.

Our work in Eagle

Two of our larger builds are in Eagle, both from plans by Boise Landscape Design. The full backyard renovation added a paver patio, a fire pit area and new planting on a pondside lot. The poolside backyard renovation in west Eagle surrounded a new pool with paver patios, retaining walls and layered garden beds.
